7 best street style looks from Milan Fashion Week 2024

1. Sabrina and Idris Elba

The Hollywood stars caused quite a stir as they attended the Gucci Ancora show sporting Gucci creations and looked every bit the power couple.

Sabrina wore a daring off-white top with jewel embellishments on the neck and straps. She accompanied this with a matching purse, wide-leg denim, and the signature red pointy-toed Gucci shoes which she matched with a dark red belt. She opted for bold red lips and a slicked-back hairstyle.

Idris Elba matched Sabrina’s casual vibe with a patterned long coat from the Italian brand with dark red, black, and white patterns. He completed the suave look with baggy jeans and dark shades.

Eiza González on Style, Self-Care, and Prada’s Milan Fashion Week Show

By avi maxwel / in , , , , , , , , /

To simply call Eiza González a Hollywood actress would be an understatement—even outside of her chosen industry, she’s become a familiar face. Not only is she the first-ever Latina to be named a North American ambassador for Bulgari, but earlier this year, she announced a partnership with tequila brand Casa Azul. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the stunning Baby Driver and I Care a Lot actress is also a fixture at high fashion runway shows. Specifically, we caught up with her at Prada’s spring/summer 2024 show in Milan, where González paired a black woven cropped halter top with a sleek black maxi skirt, and accessorized with a black Prada Arqué leather shoulder bag, naturally. The show itself featured ethereal, sheer dresses, metallic fringe skirts, and rugged leather—a juxtaposition González enjoys and sees reflected in her own style. Below, more from González about her go-to looks, how she practices self-care, and her thoughts on fashion week in 2023.

MILAN — What are we really looking at when we look at a fashion show?

Images of runway collections are universally available online. Live streams can make it feel as if you’re in the room. But what are we really seeing? How are we supposed to evaluate what we’re seeing?

Runway shows have gotten heavy with ideas. Designers will name-drop art, commerce, capitalism, politics, obscure historic figures — you name it — backstage, and it is usually impossible to make the connection between a designer’s stated inspirations and what you see in the clothes. TikTok teaches us to look at fashion shows for styling ideas or source material for dupes (the extremely online term for cheap knockoffs). We are encouraged to scour through looks for red-carpet contenders. Or we look to runways to give us the next “trend” — which is really just a shorthand these days for “Can you believe some people are actually wearing this?”

And as
