How Bloomreach Clarity is redefining how you shop online with Conversational Shopping

By avi maxwel / in , , , , , , /

Bloomreach announced a new product at The Edge Summit called Bloomreach Clarity, calling it “the future of commerce.” It’s all about conversational shopping and will change how many people shop online.

At the Edge Summit, Bloomreach CEO and co-founder Raj De Datta talked about Bloomreach’s use of AI. The platform has always had AI at its foundation, calling it Loomi. And Loomi powers everything. But the firm is even more excited about generative AI and what it can do for commerce.

De Datta said that it’s essential we get it right, arguing that people can feel overwhelmed by everything said about AI today – good and bad – and that we need to take a “collective deep breath.” We need to build a blueprint that will take us forward, and his perspective is focused on AI, e–commerce, and marketing.

According to Statistica, e-commerce made up 19% of retail sales worldwide in 2022. One of the biggest challenges for online shopping is that people find it hard to make a decision. Either more research is required, or they decide they want to visit a physical store first.

De Datta says e-commerce is built today for searchers rather than seekers. It’s

How Small Business Owners Can Boost Their Online Presence

By avi maxwel / in , , , , , /

If 2022 taught us anything about small businesses, it is that nothing is certain. Business models were disrupted, customer habits changed, and many firms embraced new technologies and digital strategies to survive.

To thrive in today’s digital age, a Digital marketing agency needs to adopt effective digital strategies that can help them establish a robust online presence. By doing so, they can reach a larger audience, build lasting relationships with customers, and ultimately increase brand awareness and recognition. With consumer behavior increasingly shifting towards online channels, digital strategies are more important than ever for businesses looking to succeed in the modern marketplace.

Customers prefer online shopping in 2023

According to surveys conducted by Software Advice, most consumers, who have been increasingly using online shopping channels and plan to continue doing so after COVID, prefer businesses with fully online services.

When asked about their preferred mix of online and in-person interaction, 35% prefer mostly online interaction in a post-COVID-19 world. Of those who have interacted with service providers online, 94% report that their experience met or exceeded their expectations. Although consumers buy online, they aren’t necessarily waiting for their

Best Credit Cards For Online Shopping of August 2023

By avi maxwel / in , , , , /

The average online shopper in the U.S. spends over $5,300 annually, according to a study by Insider Intelligence, so if you’re not using the right credit card for your purchases, you’re potentially missing out on valuable rewards and protections.

There is no “right” credit card for every situation, but there are better cards for certain categories of online shopping. One card may earn bonus points, miles or cash back at a specific retailer like Amazon, while another may earn extra rewards for food delivery. It’s also important to consider a card’s built-in coverages like purchase protection and extended warranty, especially when making larger purchases.

To help you make the best decision and maximize your purchases, CNBC Select has the details on the best credit cards for online shopping. (See our methodology for more information on how we choose the best cards.)

In-person, online, or hybrid shopping? American consumer habits are changing in surprising ways

American consumers have long been a driving force of the country’s economy and, for the last decade, have been responsible for nearly 70% of U.S. gross domestic product. While spending has changed only a few percentage points since 2007, spending habits have undergone seismic shifts.

Online sales were already growing before the onset of the pandemic, but it was supercharged when Americans opted for contactless shopping. In 2020, e-commerce sales increased by more than three times compared to pre-COVID-19 rates. While the rate has dropped since social distancing guidelines were lifted, shoppers are still logging on. As of mid-2023, nearly 15% of all retail sales were made online, according to the Census Bureau; five years earlier, that share was under 10%.

It wasn’t so long ago when online shopping was brand new and apprehensions about the vulnerability of personal information, credit card numbers, and computer connections put many customers off. As payment security has advanced, retailers also perfected their online shopping experiences to attract even more

She was responding to a bevy of recent criticism made by customers of Temu, which sells products including home decor, electronics, pet supplies, sports and toys.

A number of people have reported having their bank account hacked, or their details leaked, after purchasing items from Temu.

But no evidence has been found of Temu releasing customers’ details or the site being involved in any data breaches.

7NEWS.com.au has approached Temu for comment.

Ring noted the low prices on Temu, saying she personally thinks it’s “too good to be true”.

“It’s going to be a no for me,” Ring said in her viral TikTok.

But she knows many people will still use Temu and other similar platforms anyway,
