In the coming weeks and months, our wardrobes will start the transitional shift, making way for the warmer months ahead. With the start of a new season, new trends follow suit—and with every new trend, come a whole lot of new #sourcedbygw requests. This month, I’ve shifted the focus towards spring. No more coats or winter boots, we’re now wholeheartedly focused on pops of color, mini bucket bags (let’s give a very warm welcome to the recently-launched Loewe Pebble), and of course, plenty of raffia.
With all that said, even though I’m writing this from Los Angeles and for the U.S. market, my clientele is global and may be entering into a different season. No matter where you’re reading this, whether it be down under (hi to all my Australians!) or anywhere else on the globe, I’ve wanted to ensure that my selects can resonate with you all and have strived to include a little something for everyone.
Without any further ado, let’s jump into this month’s list.
Worn by Kylie Jenner at Jacquemus’ Spring 2024 fashion show, the requests for this mini red dress style have been going strong over the past week. The draping on this style, from the high neckline to the padded shoulders, is what instantly caught my attention. I’m already seeing sold-out across multiple websites, and it only just launched!
Nothing screams “spring is here” like a nice dose of greenery. We teased the all new Prada satin mules via our TikTok originally, and the demand was instant. “Need those mules!” was a consistent comment. Produced in three colors (black, tobacco, and fern green), I easily see these being a sold-out style come April.
Recently worn by Hailey Bieber, and then by Morgan Stewart in the croc-embossed version, the Falcon Clutch has very quickly risen to the top as our current most requested Bottega Veneta style. It’s easy to see why with its compartmented interior with a zippered pocket and two flat pockets—there’s room to fit it all in here.
I’ve kept a close eye on what is happening at Tory Burch, as I’ve observed the increase of requests that I’ve received over the past few months. I personally love that Tory began working with Brian Molloy, a stylist who has also had a hand in the transformation of The Row. My most requested style is their pierced mule, and with what appears to be an almost full size run available online now, I would recommend jumping on them.
A style worn regularly by the always-chic Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, when I started to do some digging on the Symmetry Pochette, I was certainly not surprised to see those two words ‘sold-out’ spread across multiple colorways. My bet is on the wine color way, which continues to reign supreme as the color of the moment.
Say hello to Alaïa’s newest mesh ballet flat, this time embellished with a brass jewel ornament. My first sourcing request came through for this style in July 2023, and the image seemed to have been taken from a showroom. I knew immediately that it would be one to watch, it is no surprise that sizes are already selling out fast.
Introducing Alaïa’s newest it bag, and the one that is high up on my radar as one to watch. Produced in a number of colors and two sizes, I anticipate the white to be the best seller for spring. It is a shoulder style with an elongated shape, I wouldn’t recommend waiting too long to snap this one up—I’m already seeing sold out across multiple retailers.
When Loewe releases a new handbag style, I always pay attention. Right now it’s the Pebble Bucket Mini Bag, with its silver-tone hardware and engraved logo that sets the foundation for a number of new must-have styles (see below). Produced in a multitude of colorways, my top pick is the beautiful soft white.
There is an extremely alluring desire for the Loewe logo. It is subtle, but immensely chic. Their newest pebble dress is just that. A sleek black dress, that is finished with the silver-tone signature anagram detail at the front. If the dress doesn’t catch your attention, this exact style was also produced in a top version.
If you want to know where a lot of the cool girls are buying their vintage jeans for spring and beyond, the not-so-secret go-to spot is Denim By Orlee. Hailey Bieber, Matilda Djerf, Kylie Jenner, Madelyn Cline, and Kendall Jenner, all purchase their vintage denim here. They’re based in LA but ship worldwide—and styles sell out quickly.
With bows not going anywhere anytime soon, Cou Cou’s Camisole Tanks are the everyday wardrobe staple that we all need going into the warmer months. A brand that was recently worn by Kylie Jenner, and at such an excellent price point, it’s hard to not resist the various versions (classic black and white, plus charming prints) that it has been produced in. Best of all, it is 100% organic cotton.
A pre order-style that I anticipate will be a bestseller, spring/summer is calling and that can only mean many raffia styles await us. Around this time of the year, without guarantee, a raffia style launches and our DMs blow up over it. I’m calling it early for these slide sandals.
I’m seeing a whole lot of blue this spring season, and as it is my personal favorite color, I’m very much here for all of it. This swimsuit by Saint Laurent, which is already showing low stock in multiple sizes, is the perfect day-to-night style. Wear it as your swim piece for the daytime, then as a bodysuit when the sun sets.
A highly requested style in our DMs over the past week, with Valentine’s Day right around the corner, the Lady D-Joy bag with heart motifs couldn’t have dropped at a more perfect time. The pink has been the most requested (very fitting for the spring season), but the white, beige, and red are just as good, if not better!
I’m quite surprised that it has taken this long for me to include a pair of Jacques Marie Mage sunglasses in my list, considering it is by far one of my most requested sunglasses brands. Exquisite craftsmanship and detail is visibly at the forefront of every design, and this low stock tortoiseshell design takes the place as #15 in this month’s list.
Asta Resort is popping off, and that’s an understatement to say the least. An Australian brand that is making waves in the US, most recently spotted on Doja Cat and worn by Hailey Bieber in one of her most recent Rhode shoots. Consider it the dream resort wear line. Its sequin-embellished styles are the sold-out styles that have floated into my DMs of late, but thankfully for all our wardrobes, sizes are now available in the Carolina set attached.
One thing I can say with utmost certainty is that all eyes are on Gucci for spring/summer 2024. The requests for runway pieces came in fast post-show, and I don’t see that slowing down any time soon. With “corpcore” being a trend that we’ll see well throughout the year, pencil skirts are here to stay. I particularly love this new style from Gucci, to add a pop of color into your wardrobe.
Our spring wardrobes wouldn’t be complete without an easy-to-wear everyday knit crop top—and Saint Laurent has just the one. A new-season style that can be styled up or down, depending on the look you are going for, consider it an immediate add-to-cart item.
My spring list wouldn’t be complete without a buddings florals, right!? Thankfully, Miu Miu has us covered. This new-season floral print has not only been produced in a bralette-like top, but blooms as well on shorts, a sweater, and a jacket. As with all things Miu Miu—especially when they’re cropped—I can see this style selling out.
Whisk me away to any beach right now, and this is the bag that I would have in hand. It is a new season style and has only just launched, but I anticipate that its demand will only increase over the coming months as we near summer. Raffia will always be a bestseller, and if you make it in a mini size, that’s the winning recipe for those two words: sold out.
