Best ’90s Fashion Trends: Top 5 Styles According To Experts

By avi maxwel / in , , , , , /

In the fashion world, everything old is new again. That’s certainly true for the best 90s fashion trends. After all, 1990s style had big shoes to fill, especially when you think of the colorful and iconic fashions of the 1980s. (opens in a new tab)But 90s fashion is also memorable. The decade is responsible for some of the most successful supermodels. Even Taylor Swift sings about the era in her song “Willow” with the lyric — “But I come back stronger than a 90s trends.”

So what’s the most iconic fashion trend? There have been plenty of memorable fashion designers over the years, but a poll reveals one piece of clothing that’s simply unforgettable. The survey of 2,000 people in the United Kingdom names the mini skirt as the most iconic fashion trend in history. The mini skirt beat out the “little black dress” and hot pants for the crown as fashion’s greatest garment. British designer Mary Quant has been widely credited as one of the creators of the modern mini skirt of the 1960s.

When it comes to everyday fashion, the survey found that a plain t-shirt and sneakers are one of the most common

Spring/Summer 2024 Fashion Trends

By avi maxwel / in , , /

And juuust like that, another season of shows across New York, London, Milan, and Paris have come to a close. As an editor who’s been both fascinated and wiped out by the fashion month, I’m a little bummed that the hype is all over, but I’m happy we’ve got all these cool looks to anticipate. While there was a lot of newness found on the runways and at special presentations, there have also been a few trends that have come back around—but this time with an updated twist. And we like twists, don’t we?

Let’s get ready to embrace low-rise pants and micro-mini shorts (I mean, have you seen Hailey Bieber kill this look?), floor length fringe, and so. Much. More. And yeah, sure…we’ve pretty much just entered fall (and have finally accepted that fab, cold weather fashion is here to stay for a lil while), but we can still get excited for next spring and summer now, right? Keep scrolling for 6 major spring/summer 2024 fashion trends because it’s never too soon to start planning!

Fringe is one of those trends that keeps coming back, so this resurgence wasn’t at all surprising. However, this latest vibe is everything.

The 14 Spring 2024 Fashion Trends to Start Shopping Now

By avi maxwel / in , , , , /

Goodbye, lumpy puffers and salt-caked boots. Hello, spring 2024 fashion trends! If your wardrobe is starting to feel a bit tired after months of gray skies and howling winds, you’re in luck—a new season is on the way, bringing plenty of fresh inspiration from the spring runways along with it. Nostalgia ruled last year’s biggest trends, from the revival of early-2010s fashion to so-called stealth wealth, which revisited ’90s-style minimalism. And experts say this year’s trends, like the disco decadence of sequins and the return of grade-school staples like bows and preppy polos, follow the same arc, but with a little more playfulness this time around.

So what will we be wearing this year? While you’ll still see plenty of bold red, a holdover from our favorite winter trends, on the streets, we’re expecting to go a bit darker in maroon this spring. (Don’t worry; bright blue is also trending if you’re dreaming of clearer skies ahead.) Bow accessories and rosettes are poised to get even more popular, jumping from your TikTok feed to real life. And if you’re looking for an excuse to dress a little bolder, we recommend investing in a fringed jacket, leopard-print ballet flats, or a

The leaves aren’t the only ones embracing bold colors this fall. Celebrity stylist Wouri Vice, whose clients include H.E.R. and Issa Rae, tells us bright red fashion will be “big.”

“We’re just coming off of Barbie pink and Beyoncé’s (“Renaissance” tour) silver” he adds. “We’re living in a bold era … It’s a time of expression.”

Fashion expert and Afterpay ambassador Zanna Roberts Rassi similarly calls the fiery hue the “official color” of the season, dubbing it the latest “iteration

Men’s Fashion Trends 2024: 12 Style Moves to Make This Year

By avi maxwel / in , , , , , /

Though in a cosmic sense there’s no real difference between 11:59 on December 31st and 12:01 on January 1st, we swan dive into the new year with the belief that change is good, and that the biggest menswear trends of 2024 are meant to be invented, not decreed. Once Andy Cohen’s voice stops ringing in your ears and the champagne hangover wears off, you can get down to the business of deciding what sartorial upgrades, shimmies, and experiments you’d like to try on for size over the next 12 months. And us? We’re here to give you some ideas.

To that end, we polled the GQ staff—self-voted as the most stylish content squad in the northern hemisphere for 64 65 years running—to predict what we think will break out in the world of men’s style in 2024. Some of these predictions will blossom from seeds that we’ve already seen sprouting the last few months; some come from peering into the menswear crystal ball (which is easier to do when you’ve been sitting front-row at fashion shows and sending notes from the frontlines).

Take a look, take what you like, and leave the rest. Just make sure you tag us when
