With a three-year-old who just finished his first year of pre-school, I’m starting to learn the peaks and valleys of summertime with kids. Peaks? I’ve been searching for summer sandals for my 14-month-old, who just started walking (and found some great daisy print jellies at gaps) and some cute but tumble-ready shorts for my three-year-old (the Bingo shorts from Oso & Me have become a must-have in every colorway!). Barbie Ferreira on summer style, chub rub and more

Whether you’ve watched Euphoria or not, you’ve likely heard of Barbie Ferreira. She hit the big time playing the brilliant Kat Hernandez alongside Sydney Sweeney and Zendaya in the first two seasons of the HBO show (psst! Here’s the *real* reason she decided to call it quits) – but she was already making waves on the scene long before her breakout role.

As a teen, Barbie modeled for a handful of major brands (think Adidas, ASOS, and H&M) when un-retouched photos from her Aerie campaign went viral in 2016. She soon became a vocal figure in the body positivity movement, starring in a video series for Teen Vogue called body party, and was named checked in time‘s “30 Most Influential Teens” list later that same year. All this, and she’s only *just* turned 26.

Barbie’s list of achievements is impressive – but never one to rest on her laurels, she is now turning her attention to fashion design, stepping into the role of Global Celebrity Partner for Havaianas. More than just a face for the iconic footwear brand, Barbie has kicked off the partnership by exclusively designing a nine-piece collection of sandals, right in time for summer!

You can now virtually try on shirts with Google Shopping

Shopping online is super convenient, but it’s also a hit-or-miss proposition. Just because a shirt looks fabulous on the model in the photo doesn’t mean it will do you any favors. The shopping gurus at Google Shopping are aware of this problem. Customers on the internet aren’t exactly shy with their complaints! (Plus, research is kind of Google’s thing.)

According to Lilian RinconGoogle’s senior director of product shopping, 42% of online shoppers don’t feel represented by models in images, while 59% end up unsatisfied with an item they bought online because it didn’t look right on them.

So the company has come up with a solution: On June 14, Google released a new “virtual try-on” feature to its Shopping tab that uses artificial intelligence to predict how an item of clothing will fit on someone who looks like you.

How Logo-Free Luxury Is Reshaping the Fashion Market

PARIS – Located on a quiet street in Paris’ 16th arrondissement, menswear boutique Beige Habilleur proposes a tight edit of Ring Jacket suits from Japan, Justo Gimeno hunting jackets and Johnstons of Elgin sweaters alongside loafers and derbies from JM Weston and Paraboot.

The shop’s founder, Basile Khadiry — who created French menswear review L’Étiquette alongside journalist Marc Beaugé and stylist-designer Gauthier Borsarello in 2018 — has been carrying the torch for understated, classic men’s style for years. (He founded the retailer in 2016 after stints working at luxury retailer Chalhoub Group and Louis Vuitton.)

But in recent months, interest in the previously niche, mostly logo-free aesthetic of Khadiry and his associates champion has been taken off: L’Étiquette, which is dedicated to demystifying the codes of relaxed French wardrobe dressing, has seen its paid circulation surge to over 50,000 copies per issue over the course of just 10 editions — more than any other men’s magazine in France according to market sources (although rivals publish more frequently). The magazine launched its first ever women’s edition last month, attracting advertising dollars from Hermès, Rolex and Cartier.

What’s the Best Way to Style a Bikini?

Bikini styling is inherent at the mercy of the environment in which bikinis are typically worn: namely, outside, and often in the presence of water and intense sunlight. Throw trillions of particles of sand into the mix — not to mention the sunscreen residue — and you’ve got yourself a really interesting challenge. Needless to say, it probably isn’t the best time to whip out your expensive suede shoes or a special-occasion silk top. While that might be obvious, other aspects of this particular styling equation are less so. For example: How does one concoct a thoughtful “look” around what is essentially two scraps of waterproof fabric without cosplaying as a Love Island contestant en route to a group date?
