7 Winter Fashion Trends You’ll Want to Wear on Repeat 2023

By avi maxwel / in , , , , , /

We’ll be the first to admit that style takes a back seat to comfort when it’s cold out. But the best winter fashion trends of 2023 can inspire us to break out of the doldrums of frigid weather, and what better way to do that than with a shiny new outfit?

Building on the fall trends that we’re still loving, this season’s best looks marry comfort with visual impact. Colorwise, rich red is still very of-the-moment, but we’re also seeing all-gray outfits everywhere we look. (Don’t worry, we’ll let you choose whether you want to make a statement or prefer to blend in.) Jeans are getting darker and darker by the minute. Metallics are also popping up, just in time for you to throw together an Insta-ready ’fit for your office holiday party.

Obviously, since it’s getting chilly, the girls are wearing longer jackets, but this winter’s picks are bolder than the plain black winter coat you’ve had hanging in your closet for years. And while many of this season’s picks gesture toward officewear and uniforms (think pinstriped suits, roomy trousers, pleated skirts), great styling makes them feel like anything but work. Ready for a new crop of winter wardrobe

24 Best 2000s Fashion Trends – Top Y2K Fashion Trends

By avi maxwel / in , , , , /

Growing up in the early aughts was such a wild time. Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson, and boy bands like NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys filled our Hip Klips. The coolest Bratz dolls were dressed in the most iconic 2000s fashion trends, inspiring us to unlock our inner rock stars and our passion for clothes. Chunky platforms of any style were magic, and mini bags for Tamagotchi toys were necessary. To top it off, the combination of low-rise bottoms or baggy, wide-leg jeans and an off-the-shoulder top was a must.

We often lose sight of what was once trendy. But, after some time, it often comes back in style with a brand-new take. Right now, the 2000s are proving to once again shine, as seen on all the today’s most fashion-forward celebs. For those of you who want in on the fun, we dug the best early aughts trends from what may feel like a time capsule—but fret not, they’re just as fashionable today as they were back then. Shop them all below.

Don’t women deserve more from fashion?

PARIS — After the Row’s show on Wednesday, men in simple but just-a-bit-special long-sleeve T-shirts held silver trays in the courtyard of the brand’s headquarters, offering pretty white boxes of madeleines to the guests.

You couldn’t help but think of Proust and the “precious essence” of his madeleine at the beginning of “In Search of Lost Time” — or I couldn’t, anyway, as I bit into this spongy, evocative treat on my way to the Metro. It was perfectly dense, a bit lemony and washed with the most elegant coating of sugar. Subtle but sublime. Not too sweet.

Before the show, the Row’s publicist sent out an email asking attendees not to take pictures or videos, and each seat had a simple white notebook and pencil, encouraging you to take notes instead. This ruffled a few feathers — the Row, designed by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, is enormously popular on TikTok, where it’s the crown jewel of quiet luxury and influencers hysterically reveal their scores from the line’s annual sample sale.

Some sniffed that this “phone ban” was a reaction to its nonnative online presence. But it seemed as though they just wanted everyone to sit back and enjoy the

Why Eve-Lily Charlotte Is My New Favorite Fashion Follow

By avi maxwel / in , , , , /

Social media gets a bad rap for being addictive, promoting unrealistic standards of perfection, and in some cases, even being a national security risk. (TikTok even faces a possible ban in the U.S. because of it!). But I prefer to view the internet in a more positive light: I see it as a place to scroll and find endless style inspiration. Case in point: My latest fashion follow, who describes herself as a “maximalist cat lady,” is making me consider taking more risks with my wardrobe—and reminding me to have more fun with it, too. Enter Eve-Lily Charlotte

I first came across Eve-Lily’s content while mindlessly scrolling through TikTok one late evening. In her video, the creator and stylist—who is based in Manchester—was attempting to style a black beaded top. As she slipped on a bright pink mesh top and satin skirt underneath it, I was weary of the process—until she added a sculptural bolero, one single dangly earrings, and pointy Versace pumps. Combined, the maximalist ensemble, somehow, worked. “I call it ‘eclectic maximalism,’ as my outfits are inspired by a vast range of aesthetics and decades,” the creator tells Vogue of her personal style. “I’d say
