Namasenda talks fashion fails, fashion grails and how much she loves to lie

By avi maxwel / in , , , , , , /

The Stockholm-based musician behind bangers like ‘No Regrets’ and ‘deathrow bby’ also reveals her sci-fi influences, her dream girl group line-up, and which Spice Girls track she’d love to cover

Namasenda is a self-confessed liar. As soon as I sit down in front of her in the green room of XOYO ahead of her final gig of the year, the Stockholm-based former PC Music signee warns me that she’s a big fan of fibbing in interviews. It becomes apparent very quickly – “Did I say that? I didn’t say that,” she laughs when I try to clarify that Sporty was in fact her favourite Spice Girl – and continues throughout, rendering a lot of my research prep completely redundant.

My notes might have been metaphorically ripped up and tossed out of the window, but in the end it makes for a very fun conversation, as she mischievously chops and changes her mind. As a contrarian Scorpio, it’s something I appreciate – if I was a pop star sitting in her place, I’d probably do the same. Always keep them guessing your next move.

Online Shopping Fails and How To Avoid Them – Forbes Advisor

By avi maxwel / in , , , , , /

These are some of the most common online shopping fails, complete with personal anecdotes from those who have survived them.

Not Checking the Return Policy

From fees for return shipping labels to getting e-credits instead of refunds, returns when shopping online are a pain. And since you’re not actually seeing the merchandise in person or trying it on to see if it fits when buying, returns are relatively commonplace when shopping online.

While you don’t have to head to the store to return an item, you may have to head to the post office, print various shipping labels, buy an envelope or box or dig through poorly designed websites to figure out if and how you can complete a return for something you bought online.

Elise, an Indiana resident, experienced this firsthand when she did online shopping hauls at a few stores. One store charged her $7 for a return label to send the item that didn’t fit quite right back for a return, while another vendor only provided her with an e-credit to use online instead of a refund for an item that didn’t work for her. “You have to be careful with the online return policies,” she said.

Most Annoying Instacart Shopping Fails, According to Redditors

By avi maxwel / in , , , , /

“A month ago our entire order got delivered to someone else,” one Redditor writes. “And we got theirs. It’s really strange to go through someone else’s groceries. Sad part is they had obviously shopped for a Super Bowl party and we’d bought fruit and salads and some pantry items for the week ahead. I know the other people were more upset than we were.”

Another Redditor shares,”I ordered only 5 items with the whole reason I placed an order was to get sorely needed cough medicine. The shopper quickly refunded the cough medicine, ignoring my pre-chosen alternative substitute if not available. I chatted and asked him not to check out without getting a substitute. He also refunded a candy bar. I had to get in my car and go to the same store, and guess what? Both the cough medicine and candy bar were on the shelf.”

Another subscriber was irritated by the choice of replacements. “First (the shopper) refunded 9 items and said he had no idea where to find them,” the Redditor writes. “Then I got cottage cheese instead of ricotta (not even the same brand so not a mixup), pepperoni pork pepperettes instead of
